John Barleycorn and Jerry of the Islands

Jack London was an American novelist, journalist and social activist. As an autobiographical novel adopting the name of an old English folk song, John Barleycorn tells the story of the author's struggles with alcoholism at different stages of his life. Jerry of the Islands is a story of an Irish terrier named Jerry and his adventures on a ship Arangi, engaged in delivering slaves.
